Public Opinion and Propaganda
Course Objective
The course will examine how people think about politics: where they get their information and why, and how well that information prepares citizens for democratic engagement. The course will also examine the extent to which powerful interests are able to shape what we see and even what we think, and the consequences that has for popular self-government.

Editing & Post Production
Course Objective
This advanced class will teach industry quality, non-linear video editing and post-production techniques. Learners will work with professional visual effects software to apply 3D (three-dimensional) animations and high-level visual effects to their video projects, and use production and image editing software to author professional quality DVDs (Digital Video Discs).
Course Outcomes
- Apply techniques for adding effects to sound and video productions to produce different moods.
- Use authoring tools to produce finished outputs.
- Demonstrate ability to use the advanced features of Avid Xpress and/or After Effects.
Radio Broadcast Journalism
Course Objective
Introducing to a number of technical and non-technical skills, including script writing, directing, and hands-on camera and studio skills such as lighting, sound and editing. This course will also examine the history of video today and future trends.

- Explain the major differences between audio and video platforms.
