The programme is aimed at preparing learners to meet the demands and challenges of the teaching profession at nursery and pre-school levels for both public and private centres. It is structured to enable graduates to acquire competencies in identifying the teaching and learning approaches for young children, and to be reflectively and professionally engaged in teaching-learning processes and experiences, curriculum planning, and aspects of management.

Adult learners study mostly online and only need to attend intensive revisions at their nearest authorized SEGi location once a month via our Blended Learning Approach specially customized to your needs. Study at your own pace and from anywhere, anytime, maintaining your work-life balance. Obtain a full SEGi University qualification similar to those who study full time. You will also get to meet and network with childcare providers and teachers to share experience and establish contacts.

Entry Requirements: 

​i) A pass in SPM with a minimum of 3 credits in any subject or its equivalent; 
OR 
ii) A pass in Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) with a minimum of Grade C (GP 2.0) in any subject or its equivalent;
OR
iii) A pass in Sijil Tinggi Agama Malaysia (STAM) with a minimum grade of Maqbul;
OR
iv) A pass in SKM Level 3 in Early Child Care/Preschool and pass SPM with a minimum of 1 credit in any subject;
OR
v) A Certificate in Early Childhood Education (ECE) or its equivalent;
OR
vi) A Certificate in any field or its equivalent.

For international students, Test of English as a Foreign Language (TOEFL) score of 500 OR International English Language Testing System (IELTS) score of 5.0 OR its equivalent.
