This course examines the financial markets of an economy and introduces students to the finance technology (fintech), risk management, compliance, digital currencies market and techniques used in the analysis of capital budgeting and financial management. It covers the main areas: the exchange rate determinants and government influences in exchange rates, international flow of funds and direct foreign investment, international arbitrage and interest rate parity, including the relationship among inflation, interest rates, exchange rates and exchange rate fluctuations and finally the derivatives markets and the management of risks.
