Overview: 

This course aims to equip students with the basic knowledge and skills in using signing as an alternative communication system for special needs children who are unable to acquire speech. The main differences among various sign communication systems are also discussed. Students will have the opportunity to learn the Malaysian Sign Language (MySL) and use it in the context of daily routines and classroom teaching, especially with the deaf population.
